Giving Back
Operation Shower Operation Shower is a non-profit organization that recognizes and honors the sacrifices military families make by producing and coordinating baby showers for pregnant and expecting military personnel and their families.
 
FIDO's Companion Inc. Fido's Companion is a small, family run non-profit 501(c)3 organization operating out of Avon, Ohio made up of volunteers who perform vital functions in the process of rescuing animals. Primarily rescue dogs from the Lorain County Dog Pound before they are put to sleep.
 
Pet Guards Pet Guards is a private, not for profit humane agency staffed by many volunteers. It receives no government funding -- no tax dollars. It relies totally on support from concerned individuals and businesses.
 
Toys for Tots U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program has a mission to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
 
Project Linus Project Linus is a non-profit organization with a two-fold mission.
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
 
Providence House Providence House, Ohio's first licensed crisis nursery, offers emergency shelter to children newborn through five years old actively living in crisis. Since 1981, Providence House has provided quality, center-based, family focused residential care to over 5,500 infants and children in crisis.
 
The City Mission Through the tireless efforts of staff and volunteers and the great generosity of many generations of Clevelanders, a variety of programs are provided: overnight shelters and residential transitional programs for homeless men, women and children; spiritual aid for those incarcerated; daytime, afterschool, and evening youth programs; necessities for the poor including clothing and food; and an overnight camp experience for urban youth and families.
